Then we'll talk about the importance of the Family Dinner. The benefits go well beyond the nutritional intake and can help emotionally and intellectually and play a major role in a teen's personal growth.
In our last segment we'll talk about the benefits of getting teens into the kitchen and involved in cooking. It provides an opportunity for quality time, teaches self reliance and can build self confidence. We'll also talk about some of the things that Madison likes to cook and show her in action making two different meals.

What is the Search for Extra-Terrestrial Intelligence, when did it start, is it worth what it costs and what happens if we find something?
We'll investigate these questions in this edition of the podcast while also looking at a history of SETI, radio astronomy and how academics, enthusiasts and the cold war drive America's efforts with SETI. We'll ponder the philosophical question of whether there is intelligent life in the universe and we'll talk about the Drake Equation and how many of it's guesswork variables are quickly forming up to be factual estimates based on current findings in our understanding of the universe.
We will also take a look at the costs of SETI, it's research and the bureaucracy that it depends on. We'll explore the benefits that we've seen from the efforts of people like Carl Sagan and Paul Alan to deepen our understanding of life in the universe. And we'll ask you the audience to decide if the investments have been worth the benefits.
In our final segment we'll talk about the various scenarios facing the human race should we encounter other intelligent life. We'll it be a peaceful and beneficial first contact like that depicted on Star Trek. Or do we face an apocalyptic Independence Day style catastrophic first contact? Are we as a civilization even ready for first contact and what impact could it have on us as a species?

Will Disney save the NBA season and host the teams at Disney's Wide World of Sports? Disney and other Florida theme parks are working to develop a protocol to safely reopen when they are given the green light. To help us through another week of quarantine Disney is bringing back The Disney Family Singalong, this time Volume II.
May the 4th be with you as Disney brings Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker to Disney + on Star Wars Day! Even with the parks closed you might be lucky enough to spot Galaxy's edge branded Coke products in their distinctive containers at a store near you. Or you can make your own blue milk and green milk with this weeks make at home recipes to capture the Disney spirit.
Regal and AMC declare war on Universal for their stated intent to now release movies both in theaters and on streaming, threatening an already precarious theater industry. The Oscars take Covid into consideration and will allow streaming movies to be eligible for awards for this year only.

In this weeks question and answer session we take a look at food, possessions and money. We ask Madison about her favorite foods, favorite desserts, what a typical school lunch entails, what her favorite restaurants are and more.
In our possessions segment we'll find out where Madison typically shops for close, what her style and clothing preferences are, we'll talk about her favorite toys, how neat she keeps her room and some other philosophical questions.
In our money segment we talk about how Madison likes to spend and/or save her money. We'll also throw a few scenarios at her about how she'd spend money under some theoretical circumstances.

This week's Disney Detective explorers to real possibility of the Disney Parks in the United States possibly not opening for the remainder of the year and what that means for safety, the park visitors and the staff. Abigail Disney is once again in grabbing headlines with her vulgarity laced charges against the Disney company for their recent furlough of park employees. And despite the parks being closed there is a new lawsuit raging against the Frozen ride in Epcot.
Star Wars Insights explores rumored reports of a new Disney+ television show in the works from "Russian Doll" Co-Creator Leslye headland featuring a female-centric point of view. And we'll also talk about reports that Disney has begun work on The Mandalorian season 3 after having already wrapped production on Season 2 which is due for an October 2020 release.
In Entertainment News we look at some additional offerings of Virtual Experiences from Wizard World with the cast of Grimm, Gotham and The Boys now offering a variety of opportunities to interact with. And we'll also look at an unexpected connection between Dolly Parton and Buffy the Vampire Slayer that has only recently come to light.
As always we'll finish up with our Insightful Picks of the Week, another couple of suggestions to help you get through the cabin fever of quarantine.

This week we take a look at some common goals that teens have for the near and long term future. We'll examine which short term goals are worth exploring and the benefits they offer. We will also look at how to tackle the bigger long term goals and why you want to start making plans in advance for them in order to make them more obtainable.
We will then explore hints and advice on how parents, guardians, friends and loved ones can help their teen to achieve these goals. We'll look at how important it is for teens to pursue goals that are relevant to themselves and not necessarily pursue goals based on other peoples desires. We will also look at how we can help teens achieve their goals and stay on the path to success in the long run.

This week we are asking question related to Madison's personality and what her future goals are.
We'll use these Q&A sessions to drive more topical discussions in later podcasts and allow us to focus more directly on certain topics that would be of interest to other teens and hopefully helpful to others as well.

Disney continues to do their part to help us get through self quarantine by streaming Illuminations from Disneyland Paris as well as bringing musical magic to ABC with their Disney Family Singalong all while enjoying the delights of a homemade Dole Whip thanks to the publication of their famous recipe.
In entertainment news we are seeing other networks get in the spirit of bringing casts of favorite shows together us with the casts of Glee, SCTV, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist and Jesus Christ Superstar all to keep us entertained at home during these challenging times. AMC is prepping a chatshow with Jeffrey Dean Morgain and his wife Hilarie Burton Morgan that will give us another option for quarantined programming. And for horror fans out there you can now take a virtual tour of Dracula's Castle in Transylvania thanks to Google.

This week we highlight the artistic talents of our co-host Madison. We'll take a look at several outlets for artistic expression that she enjoys from music to writing and illustration to creative construction. We've got a few pre-recorded segments that will allow us to showcase Madison's musical talents on the Trumpet and some spoken word versions of her creative writing exploits.
We also took the time to digitize a selection of her artwork. We'll get a chance to look at how her artistic styles and skills advance from basic custom comics through her own character generation and the evolution of her own unique art style.
Finally we'll look at her creative construction expression through her custom lego creations. We'll take a walk through her unique apartment complex that allowed her to expand beyond just doing instruction based Lego builds to something a bit more complicated and creative.
